This is a really good web site and it has really helped me in my maths in a way??
THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????????
Hi all,
I read about 142857 and it boggled my mind. Are there any other roundabout numbers, I wonder?
The weird thing about 142857, when you multiply by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 it works beautifully. Then suddenly – 142857 x 7 = 999999. Spooky, if you seen NINE the same as ENIN.
Kind regards from Adelaide
Dieter
Another spooky thing about 142857 is that it only uses numbers in the first two columns on a number pad.
in addition, if you connect 1, 4, and 2 as a triangle, and 8, 5, 7 as another triangle, they are exactly opposite of its equivalent.
Two more things:
1. 857^2 – 142^2 = 714285
2. 142857^2 = 20408122449
20408 + 122449 = 142857
