careless mistake

careless mistake – n. the term (mostly) math teachers use to describe a mistake you made that shouldn’t have been made cause you knew what you are doing but did something wrong, and they imply that you actually really care what you were doing, until you stopped caring about what you were doing and made a mistake while you had no care about what you were doing anymore.  blaaahhh!!!
